Pierre Lotti
Pierre Loti is the name of an area on a hilltop in Eyup district, with a wonderful view of the Golden Horn, and Istanbul. The name Pierre Loti comes from the French writer and novelist Louis Marie Julien Viaud, who lived in Istanbul at the turn of the 20th century. He used to sit at this place and write his novels admiring the view. Now there are many cafes in the same place frequented by locals of Istanbul.
The recommended way to go there, is take a bus to Eyup (55T passes from Tepebaşı bus stop next the hotel) and climb up by using the cable car.
