Bosphorus Tour Boats
Bosphorus Strait, joins the Sea of Marmara (Marmara Denizi) with the Black Sea (Karadeniz), 32km north of the Galata Bridge. On one side is Europe, on the other Asia – both shores are lined with historic yalıs (seafront mansions) and have loads of attractions. As a result, a day spent exploring by ferry and/or bus is enormously rewarding.
Boat Tours are organized by both private companies and the Municipality. Private boats are more often, but somewhat smaller and can be noisier. The Municipality organizes long tours (6 hours), short tours (2 hours), and night tours. Schedules change throughout year, and can be found in their page here.
